A year after we installed the no anchor zone buoys, we joined Dr. Jean-Luc Solandt, Principal Specialist of Marine Protected Areas at the Marine Conservation Society and his team, back at Portland Harbour to continue our journey.

CONTINUING OUR JOURNEY

With our support, the Marine Conservation Society has started to use a remote operated vehicle or ROV to assess the state of seagrass beds. An ROV enables them to do plentiful dives to record habitat quality quickly, easily and relatively inexpensively.

The findings from the ROV will be fundamental in evaluating the success of this and many other projects in the future, helping the team to decide the next steps for each project.
