How do I know if my order has been successful?

You will receive an order confirmation number & email once payment has been received.

Can I amend my order?

If you need to make amendments to the shipping or billing address, email address, gift message or other, please contact us directly on with your order number and the details you would like to amend.  

Please note, we cannot make changes to your order once it has been dispatched. We are unable to make changes to your personal information for security reasons.

I’ve got a promotional/discount code; where can I apply this?

Enter your promotional code, discount code or e-gift voucher at checkout. Please read the promo/discount code T&Cs for more details.

Do you offer bespoke bottle engraving?

Yes, we offer personal hand-engraving on select products.

30 character limit on all bottles. Please allow 7-10 days for delivery.

Please note, special characters or emoji’s cannot be supported by hand-engraving.

Do you offer a gift wrapping service?

Yes, we do. Gift wrapping services are available on select products.

Can I add a gift message to my order?

Yes, you can add a complimentary gift message to any order. Please find this option at the checkout.

My order is a gift; will anything be sent out with the price on it?

No. Any order that includes a gift message, will not include order details or prices.

Where do I go for my experience? 

Your experience will start in our waterside Distillery Bar at The Boathouse (28 Island Street, Salcombe, TQ8 8DP).

Where can I park? 

The nearest car parks are just a few minutes walk away from our waterside Distillery.

There is a long stay car park on Gould Road, Creek Car Park, and a short stay car park on Shadycombe Road, Shadycombe Car Park. During peak seasonal periods, there is also a park and ride facility from Main Road (A381). Please note that there is no car parking at the Distillery on Island Street.

Where is the nearest train station? 

The nearest train station is in Totnes, which is approximately 20 miles / 35 minute drive or taxi.

Do you allow dogs?

We do not allow dogs in any of our experiences (with the exception of guide dogs).

Dogs are allowed in our retail stores & Distillery Bar.

Do you have disabled access?

Those requiring disabled access should contact us prior to making a booking as unfortunately there is no lift facility in our Gin or Rum School classroom, however alternative arrangements can be made.

Experience bookings

How do I book an experience?

Visit us HERE to select your experience, then choose your preferred date and time on the calendar. Fill out your contact details at checkout and pay by debit/credit card or gift voucher. You will receive an order confirmation email followed by a booking confirmation email when payment is successful.

Can I reschedule or cancel my booking?

If you need to reschedule or cancel your booking, we require a minimum of 14 days notice prior to your booking date. Any changes made within 14 days or less will be charged a £15 rescheduling fee.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of a booking will be charged in full and those within 7 days will be charged at 50%.

Can I add more people to my booking?

Yes! If you would like add a guest to your booking, please email us on or call 01548 288 180. Additional bookings are subject to availability and charges will apply.

How long are experiences?

We recommend you allow additional time to park before the lesson, especially during peak seasonal periods.

Gin & Rum School Lessons are 3 hours long. 

Distillery Tours & Tasting Sessions are approximately 1.5 hours long. 

Is it possible to arrange a private group experience?

Yes, we do offer exclusive use of our Gin or Rum School and private tours and tastings. If you would like to find out more about booking a private group lesson, please contact us on or by telephone on 01548 288 180.

Experience Gift Vouchers

Do you offer experience gift vouchers?

Yes, we do. Please visit our experiences page HERE for more details on experience gift vouchers.

Experience gift vouchers are available for our Gin School and Rum School experiences. We do not offer gift vouchers for Distillery Tours and Tastings as sessions are typically only available during peak seasonal periods.

How do I redeem an experience gift voucher?

Simply visit our experiences page HERE, select your experience type, choose your preferred date and time on the availability calendar.

At checkout, please provide your gift voucher code to make payment.

You will receive and order confirmation email and booking email

How will I receive my experience gift voucher code?

A copy of your gift voucher code will be sent by email upon payment.
We also send a physical copy of all our experience gift vouchers by post. At checkout, you can choose to send the physical gift voucher directly to the recipient by inserting their address into the ‘Shipping Address’ section at checkout. If you would like the gift voucher to be sent to you, please insert your address in the shipping section.

Gift vouchers are sent by 1st class Royal Mail and can take up to 7-10 days to receive.

How long is an experience gift voucher valid for?

Experience gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and cannot be refunded or extended.

Are experience gift vouchers refundable ?

Experience gift vouchers are non-refundable. Gift vouchers can only be redeemed on the experience purchased and cannot be applied to SDCo products online or in-store.

E-Gift Vouchers

How will I receive my e-gift voucher / can I send it directly to the recipient?

When you’ve chosen your e-gift voucher amount, you will fill in the recipients email address, name and gift message. Once payment is made, the e-gift voucher code & gift message will be sent directly to the recipient.

You (the purchaser), will receive an order confirmation email when your payment has been successful.


How long is an e-gift voucher valid for?

E-gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the purchase date.

Can an e-gift voucher be used to book an experience or purchase an experience gift voucher?

Yes, e-gift vouchers can be applied to experiences’ bookings. 

Can an e-gift voucher be redeemed in-store?

E-gift vouchers can only be redeemed on our online store at this time.

Can I apply a discount code when purchasing an e-gift voucher?

No, you cannot apply a discount or promotional code when purchasing an e-gift voucher.

Can more than one e-gift voucher code be used on an order?

Yes. Multiple e-gift voucher codes can be used to pay for an order.

What can I do if the recipient has lost their e-gift voucher code?

Please contact us directly on with the original order number and we will locate your e-gift voucher details.
